Nonchalant in your eyes
And the calm in your face
Watch as each moment dies
The new blossom with grace
I'm sitting standing strong
Wond'ring how this is real
Praying it will last long
This way that I now feel

I've been toying with this in my head, but I can't decide if I should make it longer or leave it as is, or actually use it in something. Crit, s'il vous plait.

I like it the way it is. The beauty of poetry is that you can say a great deal with only a few words, but also the reverse is true. Something that could be summed up or said in a sentance or two in plain language, in poetry it can be written with lengthly elegance. However, sometimes saying too much to say what your saying can ruin what is beeing said.

If you're watching each moment die, you also have to be watching each moment be born as well.

The universe is destroyed and recreated in every instant, more beautiful and mysterious than before. It's one of those things that keeps me optimistic.

Thank you, that helps. Less is more, of course, same goes for writing as music.
